An Introduction to the Two day Academic Study Skills Course
for All Healthcare Professionals
This two day course is aimed at all healthcare professionals who intend to commence academic studies, whether it be at diploma (level 5) or degree (Level 6) level. The course will review existing skills and enable you to develop these further, in order to equip you for your forthcoming education.
Some of the topics to be covered will include:
- Assignment Technique - understanding the assessment task
- Organising course content and proof reading
- Referencing techniques
- Reviewing the Literature
- Reflective Practice
- Assignment Technique – what not to do!
- Professional issues – plagiarism, confidentiality, anonymity
- Workshops
