An Introduction to the Key Instruction in Surgical Skills Course
The Key Instructions in Surgical Skills course is designed for experienced Trainee Surgical Care Practitioners, Advanced Scrub Practitioners, experienced Theatre Personnel, Midwives, Casualty Personnel and covers the key principles of:
- Key surgical techniques
- Tissue handling
- Knot Tying
- Suturing
The course aims to provide an overview of the theoretical and practical knowledge, which is needed when preparing to extend many new and expanded roles.
Our intention is to provide you with a safe and systematic way of role development and extension. We see the course as a way of promoting good practice to a common standard, and we hope that you will find that it supplements and makes sense of the experience that you are acquiring day by day in practice.
The course is intensively taught, with an emphasis on individual tuition and detailed personal feedback on performance.
